Sobriquet TN
Anything can go scarce in TamilNadu, but not giving sobriquets. Esp. in Tamil Film industry. The latest that got my attention today was the one given to Ilaiyaraja - Isaignani 'Swamigal' !!!!
Yes it caught my eye too in an advt. in The Hindu for the movie Dhanam. As you rightly said, our State Tamil Nadu excels in sobriquets as it does in hero worshipping.

Yep...I caught it in the same ad only!
Titles are usually given to unworthy individuals. Just imagine Karunanidhi is a kalaignar, of what may I ask.
